Defense League Girds for Grand Juryby
Bill Budington runs the Boston
Animal Defense League, which is an eco-terrorist cell in Allston MA,
affiliated with ALF, Earth First!, and PETA. Their website www.animaldefense.info/bostonruns
a
banner of an eco-terrorist in a hood and face covering leaping a chain
link fence to commit acts of sabotage and terrorism against companies,
farms, and pet stores.
BADL opposes genetic research, omnivores, leather shoes, and
livestock. They send letters and reading materials to arsonists
convicted for acts of eco-terrorism. They engage in network centric
warfare against anyone remotely affiliated, even transiently, with
WAR's
(Win Animal Rights) designated enemy businesses (called Operation:
Sinking Ship). They mainly harass and spam local businesses on the
internet, fax and telephone, but they also run missions of sabotage,
intimidation, and harassment which are planned in a less public forum.
Recently Bill Budington circulated his attack plan for the company
Surface Logix with was promptly reported to them by Haters Magazine
which does not have a similar problem with science, research, or
modernity. Subsequently, and as part of ongoing investigations, a
head member of BADL was investigated at his home by the FBI on January
11, 2007. Jake Carman of Boston Anarchist Black Cross promptly
circulated a memo to the BADL instructing them not to cooperate with
the FBI and to review information on various websites on how to
coordinate eco-terrorist resistance to federal investigation.
BADL came under the attention of the FBI with the creation of the
Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act, to which BADL is now trying to rally
fanatical opposition. The AETA is a law against eco-terrorists
"who engage in acts of force, violence, and threats involving animal
enterprises by penalizing damage or interference to animal enterprises
or conspiring or attempting to damage or interfere with an animal
enterprise" (Wikipedia). BADL is one of those organizations.
BADL overlaps several other local organizations and individuals
including, Jim, Cheri, and Cheryl (Guerriero) at Maple Farm Sanctuary,
Mike, Tania,
Jake, Clara and the Anarchist Black Cross, Kazi, Myriam, and everyone
from Boston Jericho, Noah, Lana, Marta and the New England Committee to
Defend Palestine, Operation Over, Syracuse Animal Rights Organization,
Providence Earth First!, Food Not Bombs, No Compromise Magazine, Evan
Greer and Riot Folk!
Bill Budington selected Surface Logix for a campaign of harassment and
occupation in order to punish them for having financial ties to
Huntingdon Life Sciences which is the target of the larger
eco-terrorist network across the United States. Previously
Budington and the BADL tried to harass and occupy Etrade for selling
stocks which include biopharma research companies. In short, they
are not only fanatics but socialists with an axe to grind against the
free market, medicine, and chemistry.
If one does not believe that BADL is opposed to things like commerce
and that they do not cast an absurdly wide and ridiculous web of blame,
or that they do not stalk people and harass them at their homes, one
need only read a portion of one of Bill Budington's action memos:

Currently, BADL has been issued stay away orders by Surface Logix for
their continued harassment, and Bill's response is that " if Surface thinks we will be
intimidated and forget about the 500 animals that die every day inside
HLS, they must not know about the animal rights movement! Not only will
this repression fail, but it will only galvanize support for the
campaign against Surface Logix." Of course,
Bill doesn't say this as Bill, but rather as badl@hush.com, or as "The
Boston Animal Defense League," which is really him. A more
cynical mind would conclude that Surface Logix was selected for
harassment and occupation because it is near Bill Budington's and Jake
Carman's apartments which are located in lower Allston. The
protest advertisements indicate that a pot-luck / collective cooking
circle jerk celebration will be held immediately following.
Naturally, when Bill Budington issues his attack manifestos, he runs a

Which is of course a lie. The members are also in revolutionary
movements and train in combat tactics and rapelling. But they
believe that this little disclaimer is enough of a basis to claim the

In fact, a cynical mind would also conclude that the true motives for
BADL, aside from bad hygiene, an affinity with hairy smelly animals,
and dumpster eating is that they perceive themselves to be attacking
the top tier of the US economy. Their hit list includes Merck,
Novartis, GSK, Bristol Myers, Wyeth, and Johnson & Johnson.
What a convenience. Fight for "animal rights" and against the
principles of modern economy simultaneously while also living like
animals. Ted Kaczynski would be proud.
