I was walking down Boylston Street through Copley Square, minding my
own business when suddenly...
I needed a place to pray and fast.
So I dipped on over to the Community Church of Boston.
Inside a sweaty vestibule amid large pictures of folk star David Rovics
I saw the letters scrawled in black marker on the doobell. I
pressed. Suddenly, I was buzzed in. I took a right into the
rickety elevator with the haphazardly placed persian throw rug on the
floor.
I pressed "4" and waited for the doors to close. I thought to
myself: This would be a good way for these clowns to rid
themselves of any opposition. Just doctor the elevator so it
smashes anyone to bits who isn't down with the "world church."
Anyway, the elevator began to rise... 2.. 3...
4! The doors opened. Onto the secret inner chamber of the
tax shelter that is CCB. Inside is a close room with a high
wall. Nothing churchlike, just an obvious non-profit scam
headquarters. Sitting at the desk was the very greasy looking and
pimpled Mark Laskey.
"Hello!" I said. "Can I help you?" he replied in his best
McDonalds voice. "Are you guys open?" I asked. Mark Laskey
began to look agitated and squirmy. His face contorted into a
twisted ball. "Open for what,
exactly?" he stammered.
"This is a church isn't
it?" I asked, looking around.
"Oh, um yeah." he said. Then suddenly remembering, "We have
services every Sunday."
"Okay, thanks." I replied.
Taking the elevator back downstairs, I placed two copies of a letter in
the vestibule. I'll pray some other time.
Suffice it to say, the "Community Church Of Boston" is a load of
crap. From their hokey vinyl sign smooshed between Burger King
and CVS, to their "office manager" who really runs the North East
Federation of Anarchist Communists, to their abject lack of liturgical
materials, to their sparse hours, the CCB is just another one of the
various and sleazy pseudo-revolutionary cells running as a non-profit
or church.
The vestibule contains a "community news" flyer, clamoring for the end
of capitalism, the Bush administration, and corporations. Clearly
no separation between state and this
"church," which is really a headquarters for an anti-governmental,
anti-national political cell that also celebrates Passover, Islamic
Labor Movements, and Earth Day. The religious fig leaf on this
organization is small to nonexistent. The vice-president of this
"church" calls the congregationalists "comrade" in their
publications. They exhibit the "Sacco-Vanzetti Memorial
Sculpture." And they hire vandals, window smashers, anti-WTO
hooligans, and Marxists from the local Somerville community to man the
building.
Below is the letter I delivered to this organization. Every word
of it is true:
Anarchist Black
Cross Network Planning to Use Unitarian Universalist Church to Launch
Attacks on Peaceful Protest
On Saturday, April 22, 2006, Boston Anarchist Black Cross aka BAAM aka
Boston Anarchists will be holding a bookfair at the Community Church of
Boston on 565 Boylston St. Boston, MA. Performing at this event
will be members of BAAM including the insufferable Evan Greer of
Weston, MA.
BABC plans to use the Unitarian Church as a base from which to launch
attacks on a peaceful protest by American taxpayers, the Minutemen and
96.9 FM who are opposed to the granting of legal immigration status to
illegal aliens. The tactic by this organization was to lend
material support and physical presence to the pro-illegal alien rally
held on 4/10/06 and to physically disrupt a protest of opposing
viewpoint on 4/22/06. They then intend to follow this up with a
communist work stoppage on May 1 to be sponsored by ANSWER, (who they
will berate while supporting).
Below is a copy of a letter posted to Boston Independent Media Center
by a group called "PAIFDL" or People Against Inbred Fascist Dickhead
Losers which is an ABC front group such as The Bl(A)ck Tea Society and
is hosted anonymously by a Quincy resident at a geocities/tripod
website:

Anti-Immigrant racists are coming to the
Common on April 22.
We all know what to do...
...and it's not ignoring them.
Watchdogs for this front organization routinely post violent commentary
under the forged identities of persons who openly disagree with them.
To corroborate the complicity and conspiratorial involvement of ABC
please find included the following letters from an open membership
listserv:

In the meantime, if you haven't seen this, the Minutemen
are invading.
conveniently during the middle of
the bookfair. maybe we can go heckle
them at lunch.
These apparently innocuous statements of intent to do perfectly legal
heckling cannot be taken at face value. ABC Boston/BTS was itself
being investigated for possible intimidation of small business owners
during the Democratic National Convention. Acquaintances of ABC
primary Francis Little were questioned by the FBI prior to the
convention. Affiliate members were arrested for the posession of
hoax devices and were fanatically supported by their organization.
ABC and BAAM function as information forwarding services in aid of
groups such as One People's Project, a marxist organization that
alongside Anti-Racist Action attempt to stop legal protest by throwing
bricks and confronting police officers, thereby causing riot
dispersal. Members of all the organizations mentioned arrive at
duly licensed demonstrations wearing hoods, bandanas and having trained
in hand-to-hand combat for the purpose of starting shouting and then
shoving matches which result in arrests, (usually their own).
They are infuriated by the success of the Minuteman movement, and often
label local residents as "invaders" while they themselves materially
support criminal aliens.
"Shadowboxer" is a member of International Workers World, a communist
organization, whose stated policy is to eliminate the national border
of the United States. He is a street team knucklehead of that
organization, enforcing it's policy.
"Coweatman" aka Matt Carroll is an anti-RFID tag paranoiac from a local
prep school. He and his pal Jake like to write gushy love letters
to "oppressed" ELF terrorists in prison, and do so regularly on
Saturdays.
Domenick "Nick" Giannone has a significant arrest record, and is a
career protester with a yen for anonymity in illegality. He has
posted various "anti-racist" thug propaganda under the name "Allende"
and on behalf of PAIFDL. He then cycled this material through the
BAAM listservs. So has the minor Keegan O'Brien from
Wellesley. Giannone, O'Brien, and possibly Matt Carroll operate
PAIFDL. They all collaborate generally for the same causes.
ABC touts itself as a prison abolition organization. However, in
their "anti-authoritarian" mode, they partner with the Anarchist Black
Cross Federation and with the Earth Liberation movement, trading tips
and stories on persons arrested for acts of vandalism, arson and
bombing. They are advised by members of the BU Student
Underground (Micah Lee) on how to wage internet and telephone denial of
service attacks against businesses.
The various Unitarian churches in the Boston area play host to the
anarchist and communist groups who use hall space to conspire
everything from violent overthrow of government to disruption of
peaceful protests. The word is out that the April 22 event is to
be targetted. The last several times they targeted events,
streets were blockaded, bricks were thrown, and police officers were
assaulted. This year they intend to pick up the pace in a series
of massive actions which will merge with other issues and groups, many
of whom are advocating illegal activity.
End note:
The anarchist and communist agitators have gained usage of the
Community Church of Boston through felony vandal Mark Laskey, former
collective member of the Lucy Parsons Center and primary member of the
North East Federation of Anarchist Communists. Mark Laskey is in
charge of giving out rental applications from his position of office
manager! His contacts are (617) 266.6710 or commchurch@igc.org.
